Poorest Countries

According to statistics from the United States government, the poorest countries in the world include places like Zimbabwe, where the average citizen earns less than $1 per day. In Ethiopia, the average citizen earns $2.19 per day, and in Haiti, the average per capita income is $3.84 per day. Liberia is number 226 on the list with an average per capita income is $1.37 per day.

Because the top-ten nations of the world are extremely rich compared to the poorest countries, it gives all Americans a great opportunity to earn a vast amount of heavenly treasure, because of the U.S. dollar’s strength in underdeveloped nations.

For example, a $20 donation to a church in Luxembourg might not go very far. The cost of living in Luxembourg would be considered high compared to American standards, and $20 might not even buy a family of four a meal at a restaurant. At the opposite extreme, a $20 donation to a church in Zimbabwe would go a long way in accomplishing a lot of good. If the average person in Zimbabwe lives on less than $1 per day, then a $20 donation would be enough to feed at least twenty starving people in that country.
